La Rumbla Restaurant - Leaf Panels.

Arrowtown in South Otago, is famous for its deciduous trees and the incredible hues in Autumn. Drawing inspiration from these trees, the leaf silhouette design was laser cut into plywood panels, then backlit to provide an extra area of interest, and a design feature along the front of the bar. Hidden imagery was also included in the negative space of the patterns, which reflect some of the hunting and fishing pastimes that are popular to the area. These hidden animals became a hit with children who visit the restaurant.
